Tony Burns
Tony brings over 16 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and an 18-year background in gym training. Before co-founding Burns Gym with his brother Joe, Tony served as a Police Officer with Police Scotland for 8 years.

Tony's journey in fitness started before his time in the police force. He began his career in sports as a Sports and Fitness Development Officer at Hamilton Academical Football Club. In 2007, he qualified as a personal trainer from the Australian Institute of Fitness, which led him to start working in a gym. This early involvement in the fitness industry was crucial in shaping his understanding of client needs and enhancing his skills in creating effective training programmes. His time in the gym also provided him with valuable insights into the business dynamics of gym management. Additionally, he is a certified Advanced Sports and Exercise Nutrition Advisor.

Tony's diverse skill set also includes a diploma in Internet Marketing from the Internet Business School and a NEBOSH qualification, underscoring his commitment to both the business and safety aspects of gym management. Specialising in fitness for care home residents, he brings a unique approach to Burns Gym, focusing on holistic health and wellness for all clients, particularly the elderly.
Joe Burns
Joe has over 18 years gym experience and is currently the owner of Burns Gym, a company designed to improve the lives of elderly resident in care homes. He is passionate, motivational and experienced in delivering an engaging programme to our clients.

After 7 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, Joe has decided to utilise his business insight along with his passion for fitness to head up the Burns Gym brand along with his brother and business partner, Tony. Joe also graduated form the Australian Institute of Fitness as a Master Trainer.
​His qualifications include Level 3 in personal training and a post grad in Project Management.
